Drawing and Talking Therapy is a gentle, child-centred therapeutic approach that helps young people process emotional distress through drawing — without the pressure of having to find the “right” words.
This non-intrusive method allows children and adolescents to explore their feelings at their own pace. In a safe and confidential space, they are encouraged to draw whatever they like, and over time, their drawings often become a way of expressing thoughts and emotions that may be too difficult or painful to verbalise.

Drawing and Talking is not about analysing the drawings, but rather providing a space where emotional healing can happen naturally through the drawing and relational process.
In my work with children and young people, I’ve found this approach to be incredibly effective — particularly for those who struggle to talk openly, have faced early trauma, or are showing signs of anxiety, low mood, or behavioural challenges
