"Connection before correction — the Solihull Approach puts relationships at the heart of behaviour and development."

understanding your child

As a trained facilitator of the Solihull Approach, I’ve delivered several successful parenting programmes designed to help parents better understand their child’s emotional world and behaviour. This evidence-based programme focuses on building strong, secure attachments between children and their caregivers, which lays the foundation for lifelong emotional health and resilience.

Through group sessions and supportive discussions, parents learn to:

  • Understand their child’s behaviour in the context of brain development and emotional regulation
  • Strengthen their relationship with their child through attuned, responsive parenting
  • Manage difficult behaviour using empathy and consistency
  • Reflect on their own parenting style and emotional responses

The Solihull Approach is particularly effective for families facing challenges related to trauma, attachment, developmental delays, or behavioural issues. I’ve seen firsthand the transformation it can bring — not only for children but for parents who feel more confident, connected, and supported.

If you’re a school, organisation, or individual looking to bring the Solihull Approach to your setting, I’d love to talk.
